As per present news in flash it is confirmed by Kiran Bedi that she had taken excess charges of air fairs.Confwssion partly wipened the fault . Actually she is not in active service of government at presernt so atleast question does not arise for her to create any charge under prevention of corruption act. But as she is in social field she must discriminate the act against the perovisions of prevention of corruption act.
I would like to state without any prejudicer towards any body that the tradition of visits of higher superiors to their fields. While they are visiting their respective fields or places they inform their subordinates for their programme which includes the qwork to be done the places to be visited the important issues of the place and also to arrange for their stay lunch and dinner etc,etc. May be they prefer to send their menu also for their subordinates to facilitate them to prepare their sstay comfortable right from bed tea morning breakfast ,lunch,snakes ,dinner desert etc.etc. It also happens when the officer is visiting the place he visits with his crew which may include his family members also and every body have their own choice which is to be fulfilled by the host.Naturally host is managing everything without any arguements to satisfy his officer. Here starts the theory of hospitality and corruption. It is essential to serve the guests. No problem. But if itis under compelsion what type of this hospitality is to be considered ?If the guest is government officer or official then the equation differs. The host is supposed to serve everything to the guest including lunch dinner and other facilities wihout charging to the guest but the guest will claim admissible charges from his employer.
I leave it to the intelligent sense of reader to evaluate the position and situation in the way he desires.
